Foreign Airlines Expand Routes to Tap India’s Growing Market

2024/12/23

India is witnessing a surge in international connectivity as foreign airlines plan new routes. Royal Jordanian Airlines will resume Mumbai flights in March 2025 after a decade, while Spain’s Iberojet launches direct flights between Madrid and Delhi in April 2025.

European carriers like Wizz Air and Aegean Airlines are also eyeing India, leveraging advanced aircraft to expand operations by 2027. This growth aligns with rising travel demand; India welcomed 61 lakh foreign tourists in early 2025, with outbound travel also booming.

Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam have reported significant increases in Indian tourists. Airlines are capitalizing on this trend to unlock new markets and strengthen global connectivity with India.
