New Fast-Track Immigration Program to Simplify International Travel from India.

2025/01/17

The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) has been launched at seven airports: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad. This programme, designed to make international travel smoother and more secure, was first introduced at Terminal 3 of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport in June 2023.

On January 16, 2025, the initiative was expanded to these additional airports, with plans to extend the FTI-TTP to 13 other major airports across the country.

The new system allows registered citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders to avoid long queues. Instead of waiting in line, travellers can quickly clear immigration by scanning their passports and boarding passes at automated e-gates.

This program is expected to make the travel process faster, more efficient, and hassle-free for those who are registered.
